MEDIA / TELEVISION
TEXAS TECH UNIVERSITY PRESS
A firsthand account of 1987's media-charged rescue of Baby Jessica, plus a chronicle of the community aftermath once the news cameras left.
While this book is about the rescue of baby Jessica, another heavy focus is it's discussion of the beginning of the 24-hour news cycle and news coverage and it's impacts in general. Since these ideas are less clear in the title, I wanted the cover to make them clear. Otherwise, this was perhaps the most televised event of the 80s in America and I wanted to emphasize that.
For this title I have so far designed the cover and a postcard.
